Rookie Rods / Stock Rods Construction Rules
1. Cars to be built as per the Mardave instruction sheet 2. No washers or shims to be used on the car to adjust Caster/Camber and roll centre etc 3. No bumpers to be attached to the chassis (a piece of soft foam rubber max size to be 70mm x 25mm x 25mm may be glued to the inside of the bodyshell to protect it from the chassis). 4. Batteries to be the Purple 1300Mah, 1850Mah, 1950Mah packs as supplied by Mardave or the new 3300Mah packs that must be labelled as a Stock Rod Pack. 5. Battery connectors to remain as kit (Tamiya style) and may be required to be separated in scrutineering. Extra connectors in circuit are allowed. 6. One extra power pick up is allowed from the speed controller to power a personal transponder. no other modification to the speed controller are allowed. 7. Bodyshell to be made from ABS and can be of any design that is commercially available. It must have the windows clearly defined (either cut out or with stickers) and neatly finished. No rude or abusive slogans. 8. No wings or roof fins allowed. 9. Free choice of tyres from within the Mardave/Kamtec/UFRA range 10. Mardave Marked G2 motor or G1 motor to be used. No Heat Sinks 11. Ballraces in the rear axle only are allowed 12. Track Rods can be upgraded to the V7 Mods 13. Servo savers can be upgraded. 14. Body Mounts to be the hook rear mount and either Post front mounts or Catch front mounts. 15. 50T spurs and 10-18T pinions no modifications to motor blocks. 16. These classes are aimed at being cost controlled, and drivers are expected to race and act within the sprit of this.
